For the longest time, reading, to me was the Avon Catalog.  Then one day a lady on the radio, talked about the book she was reading and how it affected her.  I immediately went out and bought the series of books and started reading them.  I was amazed that you could actually see in your mind, what was being described.   I went on to get her entire collection of books and then on to more and more authors and collections of books  My husband and I drove trucks for a year as a team so we learned then about Books on tape.  The truck stops had them at each stop and you turned them in

so when it come to my attention that the Braille had a books on tape program. it didn’t surprise me.  To date I have had over 600 books from the braille,

You can request by author or topic, or random.  It has been wonderful. A real life saver.  Now they are downloading to an MP3 player and that has been having the newer books and some barely released.  Great.
