Coupons

When I go into a store to use a coupon, I have read the coupon at home, under two magnifiers, and memorized what it is.  Or if its a preinted coupon I write in big letters on the unprinted side.  When I get to the store I get whatever the coupon calls for and lay them out in the order I have the coupon.    I am wrong on occasion, and  will take the item anyway, My  mistake will not hold up the line.  but most times I can remember.  Today the guy laughed, as i said  ” any one, any four, any one, and any flavor”   and then I couldnt punch the keys on the little machine.  They changed machine.    He did hlep me after I explained I could not see the little buttons or the little screen.  I had it memorized.

I spent two days in meetings recently, The first day I had to read several pages aloud to a small group.  IOf course, I made my letters VERY big and had threee pages for just two small paragraphs.  I still needed my magnifers.  Two to be exact. One to hold and glasses.

When the Eyes tire out

I am usually only the computer in the early part of the day.

by 1 pm the eyes have tired, I sit only  inches from the xreen and Yes its a big screen to see it.  and the letters are BIG. So by that 1pm time my eys are watering and I am tired..  I try to do all I need to do early in the day.

But all these websites, and blogs are taking some time.

Brown on brown

Hardly seems like anything to complain about.  So it is not really a complaint.  I have a butcher block cutting board, that was cut to my short height. It is brown.  I have used this for 10 years now and I love it.

Lately tho, when I attempt to put peanut butter on triscuts, I have found that I either miss the triscut completly, putting the Peanut butter on the cutting board itself, or cant find them after I make them.   brown on brown on brown.  Kindda funny.

I also have a problem with my two water tumblers, both are purple, of course,, if I put them on the cutting board, I cant see them.  I have learned to remember to put them on the white countertop.

Blind Denial

No matter what your disability, It always starts with Denial.  I thought I could still do everything.   Giving up my keys to the car was the final straw -  NO denial after that.

That’s a lie.  I am still in denial over a tap cane.  I use a stick - a big heavy stick.  Its painted white with a red tip.  I use it like a tap cane, but Read more »
