The past few days the weather has been really hot. I don’t like the really hot.

I ride my beach cruiser in the morning when its still nice and cool. I am looking into getting a lighter weight bike. I am proving able to get around more.

When I first started riding my bike again, I obviously had a problem. I practised for about a year on the little street where I live. Its a one lane each direction with parking on both sides of the street. I had to learn to judge my distance between my handle bars and the parked cars and then those cars coming towards me and moving. The depth was the problem.Everyone was RIGHT THERE. But they wern’t Back and forth I went seeing how close I could get to the cars and not hit them. (never did). Lots of room.

I go on the same few streets now, and always the same route. I do everything wrong tho. I go against traffic, so i can duck in between the parked cars when one comes towards me. I stop until there are past. I walk across the intersection when I cant see beyond the bushes. But it works.

I plan on doing volunteer work at the community center. I told them I’ll try anything but reading. I plan on biking to get there.
