I went to dinner with Katy this week.  She told me that I havent put anything down here in a while.  I told her that I had nothing to say.  She began listing things i could write about.

I do use my blind cane.  Not as much for me but for others to see me.

I do use colors to make things stand out.  I’ve discussed color on color and how tough it is.

I am careful.. I don’t go out at night.  Night is very difficult.

I do ask for help when I need it.  But when I can do it myself I do.  For example, when I know I am going to a resturant for lunch, I  check out the menu, at home, on line, where my letters are big.  I know what I am getting when I get there.  Then there are specials that throw off the whole thing.

So Little things can stay little things….

I took my first dump today on the bike.  I mized the angle on the sidewalk and /driveway and just didnt hit it straight on.  I’ve had a problem here before.  I’m okay but my peddle is bent and I cant ride.

Got to get this fixed. NOW

Someone recently told me that I use the word GREAT often.  I feel great, thing I do are Great, People I know are great.

When you put it into perspective, I am lucky and appreciate that fact.

I have a vision problem.  Theres no pills, no pain and its not fatal.

I am happy for everything I can do.  I’m not an unhappy person at the get go.  Many things are disturbing but if disturbing and frustrating are the worst I get in a day…..Life is GREAT.

The old joke is “What did Helen Kellers Parents do to punish Helen”?   Move the furniture”"..  Well, it really the truth.

And I am not completely blind.  But everything goes in the same place. ALL THE TIME.  My glasses go in the same spot or I cant see them when I go back for them.. I feel for them.  Same with the magnifiers, which are all over.  IN THE SAME SPOT.  Or I cant see it.   A black handle on a black table is lost.

Medicines,   big letters face out IN THE SAME PLACE. all the time. Vitamins with numbers of milligrams face out, in the same place. Its a guestion of memorizing your surroundings and keeping it there  when ever possible.

My eye problems have a few benefits.  I get augdio tapes (BOOKS) from the Braille, which I would go nuts without.  I get in front rows at events…sometimes….And I get a telephone with large numbers free .  Well my phone died (nothing plastic lasts long anymore).  We are able to just take it back to the store for a new one.  The gal there, Helen, was very kool and got me phone that is way kool.  It talks to me.   She went over every button, every feature and  helped me get this ohone going.. It announces the callers..really Kool. thanks Helen…..
